At The Acorns Equine Clinic, we really believe in a proactive preventative approach to your horse's healthcare.  We understand how important your horse's health is to you and we want to help you keep him happy and healthy for longer.  This is why we have designed our Equine Health Plans

 

Our Equine Health plans make it easy for you to protect your horse against preventable disease and discomfort by making sure that his vaccinations, parasite control and general health care are all up to date.  Regular check ups and an early diagnosis of any potential health issues will help your much loved horses to enjoy a long, comfortable life, whilst saving you money (by spreading the cost with simple monthly payments).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our Equine Health Plans are not an insurance policy and must not be considered to be an alternative to one.  They should be considered more as an adjunct to insurance as they include the regular things that do occur, like vaccinations, routine dental care, worm egg counts, health check ups and advice (ie. the things that insurance generally doesn't cover) all covered in an easy monthly payment plan.

 

Our Equine Health Plan is a simple and affordable way to get all of the preventative care that our clinic recommends for your horse.  They even include special discounts on long term medications supplied by the clinic.

 

 

Acorns Equine Health Plans Essentials Plan Elite Plan

 

One annual flu/tetanus vaccination. (FREE VISIT charge in zones 1-4).*

Worm egg counts every three months, (4 each year). * *
One annual routine dental check /rasping teeth if required, (Sedation  included).  * *
10% discounts on wormers.   *
10% discount on longterm medication, /suplements (discount begins on the fourth month).   *
Annual health check (Eyes,heart /lungs). *  
Full annual MOT, (eyes, heart, lungs, trot up, flexion tests, body condition score, routine haematology).   *
     
Monthly payment: £16.00 £20.00

 

 

*NB:  Visit charges apply in areas more than 40 miles radius from the clinic.

 

Notes:

 

  1. There is a membership /joining administration fee of £10.00 per horse owner.  These fees are collected with the first payment.
  2. Discounts apply to long term medication (eg, Prascend, NSAIDS, Acorns Equine /Hestevard supplements etc).
  3. If you cancel any time other than the anniversary of the plan, you will be required to pay the practice either the outstanding amount for treatment received,or the monthly payments due until the anniversary of your plan, (whichever is lower). 
  4. No refunds are payable for any months paid before a horse's death, except at the discretion of the practice.
  5. Plans and prices are valid from the first of April 2021.
  6. The practice may require you to make an upfront payment or to pay for treatment before the plan commences.
